Experience

After graduating in Law and Economics at Monash University, Ron was admitted into practice in 1982. He joined Garland Hawthorn Brahe Lawyers in 1993 and was appointed partner in 1997.

Ron’s regulatory experience includes appearing in numerous applications in the Supreme Court, County Court and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. His practice also involves litigation and mediation associated with land acquisition and compensation disputes.

Ron has a reputation for strategic thinking and developing approaches that prevent or minimise dispute risks for clients. His  varied experience covers occupational health and safety, Trade Practices Act matters, contractual disputes, land acquisition and compensation matters and insurance disputes.

Ron is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association and the Victorian Planning and Environment Law Association.
